As is known, it’s difficult to avoid multiple copies of same songs while building your iTunes or music library. With Keepvid Music Tag Editor, you can effectively remove duplicate within simple clicks.
Launch KeepVid Music Tag Editor, click in the bottom-left or hit Import iTunes Library/Import Local Files on the primary interface to add your music files.
Then the program will display your iTunes library and selected local music just as the screenshot shows.
1. Identify Duplicate Files from iTunes Library
Select a playlist under iTunes and click in the left, then a window would pop up showing you the identified duplicate songs from the selected playlist.
2. Scan Duplicate Songs from Local Library
Choose a music folder under Local and hit from the sidebar, you’ll get a scanning result with the detailed info for those duplicate songs.
Note: Keepvid Music Tag Editor identifies duplicate song via Title by default, and you can also select File Size, Artist, Album or Time as filter criteria.
Tick the duplicate song and click Delete Duplicates, then a warning window would prompt to confirm deleting. Note that this action is irreversible.
